Body to body massage in Amsterdam for a tall guest

Anyone past about one metre ninety has a standing relationship with furniture that was not designed for him, and a hotel room in an old Dutch city is furniture at its least accommodating. A long frame changes almost nothing about how a full contact hour goes and quite a lot about where it happens. Settle the where in writing and the rest takes care of itself.

the long answer

The problem is the room, not the booking

A tall guest who hesitates over full contact work usually assumes the difficulty is his own size. It is not. It is a mattress that runs out at the ankles, a headboard that cannot be leaned against, a gap of forty centimetres between the bed and the wall, and a ceiling that slopes down over the end of the bed in a converted attic. Every one of those is a furniture problem with a furniture answer, and every one of them is solvable in two lines of a message before anyone sets out. What tends to go wrong is not the height. It is a guest who says nothing, hopes the room will cope, and spends the first twenty minutes of an hour he paid for shuffling towards the middle of a bed that was never going to hold him.

Bed length in Amsterdam, and the number worth knowing

A standard double in this city commonly measures two metres of usable mattress and sometimes a little under, which is comfortable for one person lying still and unhelpful for two people moving. Longer beds exist in newer hotel stock and in the larger rooms of the business properties near the ring, and they are rarer in canal-house conversions where the room was cut out of something older. If you know the length, write it. If you do not, lie down, note where your heels sit, and write that instead. A guest who reports that his feet clear the end of the mattress has given more useful information than any measurement in centimetres, because the arrangement is decided by the overhang rather than by the specification.

Old houses, sloped beams and the ceiling nobody mentions

Central Amsterdam is full of tall narrow buildings converted upward, and the room at the top is frequently the one with the view and the beams. A sloped ceiling over half the floor area is charming to walk into and restrictive to work in, because it removes the standing space on one side of the bed entirely. Kneeling room, turning room and the ability to move around three sides of a surface all matter more in full contact work than in an ordinary oil massage. If the pitch of your ceiling means you cannot stand upright at the end of the bed, that is worth a sentence, and it usually points the whole arrangement towards the floor rather than towards the mattress.

The floor is not a compromise

Guests hear the suggestion and assume it is a downgrade. It is the opposite. A folded duvet, a spare blanket and a layer of towels on a carpeted floor give a firm, level, generously sized surface with clear access on every side, and for a long frame that is a better working platform than almost any bed in the city. Nothing about the hour changes. Oiled work, sensual work and the longer blocks all transfer without losing anything, and the only real requirement is enough clear floor and something soft underneath. Say in the first message that the floor is an option you are happy with and the room is arranged that way from the start, which takes about four minutes instead of being improvised while she is already there.

Setting the room before the knock

Three things are worth doing in the ten minutes before arrival, and none of them requires effort. Move the low chair and the suitcase out of the walking space on at least three sides of whatever surface will be used. Turn the heating up a few degrees, because a body on a floor loses warmth faster than a body on a bed and oil makes that worse. Put the overhead light off and one lamp on. She carries her own towels and her own oil, so nothing else has to be bought, borrowed or laid out. A room prepared in those three small ways starts the hour in the right place instead of spending the first stretch of it being rearranged.

What the first message should actually contain

Four lines settle it. Your height, in whatever units you think in. The bed, described by what it does to your feet rather than by its dimensions. The building, meaning hotel or apartment, which floor, and whether the ceiling does anything unusual. And whether there is clear floor beside the bed. That is the entire conversation. Nobody needs a paragraph of apology and nobody is going to be surprised, because a guest over two metres is an ordinary week rather than an unusual one. Everything here is arranged in writing to one address, and writing is exactly why this kind of detail travels accurately instead of being half remembered at the door.

Which formats suit a long frame and which fight it

Oiled full contact work and sensual work are the easiest, because both move to the floor without argument and neither depends on any fixture in the room. Tantra suits a long frame well for the same reason and because its pace makes space for the extra time a large body takes to settle. The gel format is workable but adds a waterproof sheet sized for a standard bed, so on the floor it wants a wider footprint and a shower afterwards that you can stand under without stooping. Soapy work is the one to think hardest about, because it is decided entirely by the bathroom, and a compact hotel shower cubicle is a poor place for anyone tall. Two therapists on one guest need standing room on both long sides, which is a floor arrangement almost by definition.

Figures, and the half that goes ahead

An hour is 180 euros, ninety minutes 270, two hours 360 and three hours 540, with each hour past the third adding 180. Two therapists working on one guest come to 360 an hour between them. A couple sharing one therapist is also 360 an hour, and a couple taking one therapist each is 720. The eight hour block is 1,250 euros for a single guest. Half of whichever figure applies is settled before she sets out on nearly every booking, including a first one, anything arranged more than a day ahead, anything running three hours or longer, any booking with two therapists, the overnight, a peak date and an airport hotel. The exception is narrow: a returning guest asking for an hour or two the same day at a city address settles the whole amount on arrival.

Changing your mind, and arrival times

Cancelling never leaves you owing damages to anyone. What the house may keep is the part of the fee already earned when your message lands, and only the notice decides that. Given more than a day of notice, every cent of the deposit is returned. Inside the final day but before she has left, half of the deposit is kept and half returns. Once she is travelling, the deposit stays, unless the hour is taken by somebody else, in which case it is repaid in full, or unless you can show the loss was smaller than the share kept. Where no deposit was taken, nothing at all is owed before she leaves, and once she is on her way the journey share is what the booking costs. One move of date is free if it reaches the thread more than a day ahead and lands within a fortnight. Arrival anywhere in central Amsterdam is forty to sixty minutes from the moment the hour is agreed, and a room at Schiphol is arranged on its own terms with the travel time settled first.

Give the building or the district, the hour you want her there and how long for. Anything about your own body that changes how the room should be set goes in the same message, and it is read as a practical note rather than as an apology.
