Room layout is the part guests forget and the part that changes the hour. Twenty-three, blonde, based in Amsterdam Centrum, she works in Lithuanian and English and asks two or three flat questions about the space before anything is fixed. A desk chair against the wall, a case off the floor, the bedside table pushed a foot to the left: small moves that stop a long frame running out of room at the wrong moment. Where nothing can be shifted, she says instead what the hour will look like. What she does and does not do is named at the start, and it stays named.

Nara decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.
